The housing program is designed to offer housing for vulnerable adults transitioning to permanent housing. Those in emergency situations with adult protective services (APS), on waiting lists for permanent placements, or respite care needs. Individuals must not need 24-hour care for housing services. ADGC will provide in-home assistance intermittently and provide resources for additional needs whilst in the housing program. ADGC can contract or reserve units for community-based agencies seeking the use of services regularly. Housing will be maintained in Washtenaw County until the need for expansion increases. The length of housing will vary for everyone, for example, if placed upon request of APS, housing could last months or become permanent, if placed upon request of an agency for respite care, housing could last weeks to months. This program is in place to prevent homelessness and the utilization of short-term facility stays.
